Chest Pain

Chest pain feels burning like irritation. Sometimes it transmits to neck, jaws, one or both arms. There are different causes for chest pain. Most threatening cause is heart or lung problem. It’s need immediate medical help.

Symptoms of Chest Pain

The cause of chest pain triggered different symptoms. Exact reason of chest pain can be diagnosed by doctor.

Chest Pain originates from Heart:

Chest pain or discomfort associated with heart attack or heart problem described by the following:

• Pressure, fullness, burning in chest.

• Crushing or searing pain that radiates to back, neck, jaws, shoulders, arms.

• Breathing shortness

• Varies pain intensity

• Cold sweats

• Weakness or dizziness

• Nausea

Other types of Chest Pain: it is difficult to distinguish the other types of chest pain from heart related chest pain. However, the symptoms associated with

• Sour taste of food entering in mouth

• Troubling in swallow

• Chest pain intensity change simultaneously with change of body position

• At the time of deep breathing or coughing chest pain intensify

• Chest pain persistent long hour

Causes of Chest Pain :

There are many possible causes which led the chest pain

Heart Related Causes:

• Heart attack: Often results from blood clot to heart muscle

• Angina: It is caused by poor blood flow to heart

• Aortic dissection: If the inner layers of the blood vessel separate blood is forced between the layers and as a result aorta ruptured

• Pericarditis: Inflammation of sac surrounding the heart

Digestive reason for chest Pain:

• Heartburn

• Swallowing disorder

• Gallbladder or Pancreas Inflammation

Muscle and Bone Related Causes:

• Costochondritis : cartilage of rib bone particularly the cartilage that join ribs to breastbone becomes inflamed and painful

• Muscle sore : Chronic pain in muscle such as Fibromyalgia

• Injured rib

Lung Related Causes:

• Pulmonary embolism: This occurs when blood clot in lung artery

• Pleurisy : Inflammation in lung membrane

• Pulmonary hypertension : This occurs when high blood pressure in the arteries carrying blood to lungs

Other Causes of Chest Pain:

• Panic attack

• Shingles: Caused by reactivation of chicken pox virus. It produce a band of blisters around chest wall
